Trombonist David Murray began his musical life playing Baritone Horn and composing and arranging in the 7th grade. He switched to Trombone and starting playing professionally while in college He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Music from San Diego State University. He served in the United States Navy and attended The Naval School of Music. He has been a instrumental music teacher since 1968. His professional experience is very extensive. He has played with The Marin Symphony, The Marin Civic Light Opera, Chicago Six, Living Proof, Night Food, Sankofa, various big band, casual, musical theater and brass ensemble groups. He has share the stage with such artists as Wayne Bergeron, Gilbert Castellanos, Mike Vax, Ed Shaugnessey, Pete Christleib, Bill Allred, Eric Marienthal and Johnny Varro.
